Where the heck do we start? Los Angeles is magic! We had a blast while we were there. Magical things seemed to happen to us. Luck seemed to follow us around wherever we were. Whether we were in Beverly Hills, Hollywood or Venice. But, the real “Hollywood Magic” seemed to take place in Santa Monica where we were scouted by three different casting agents within two hours when we were shopping in the promenade.
We stayed in Beverly hills while we were in LA. The Tyra Banks Show was a great experience! Tyra Banks is just as beautiful in person as she is on television. She truly is a nice person. We really enjoyed being able to be a guest on her show and especially enjoyed meeting her! We aren’t sure when our episode is airing, but, as soon as we find out we will post it on our website. We were told to check in on her website for the times and dates that her shows are airing.
Actress Irene Bedard, Super Model Iman and comedian Margaret Cho was also in the same episode that we were on. Shauna and I were stoked when we heard Irene was going to be in the same show as us. Since we were younger she has been one of our role models. It was surreal! Irene truly has one beautiful heart and personality. We hope that one day we will be able to work with her in the future. We were very happy when we were asked to accompany her at an LA pow wow! It was a great experience to hang out with one of our idols for the day.
The rest of our trip in LA was amazing! Originally we were planning on meeting one specific casting director but to our surprise ended up meeting a few others after being scouted by some agents! We ended up doing a few auditions while we were in LA.
Our first audition was to be MTV hosts for a new MTV television show. They were very interested in “The Baker Twins” being hosts for the show! We are not sure if hosting is something that we want to do yet but it is pretty shocking that they presented us with the opportunity to audition. They are calling us later on this week to let us know if we are a “shoe-in” for the show. We kind of want to stick with acting, but, the fact that we were considered for this opportunity is pretty amazing!
A reality television show also wants Shauna and I to go on their new television show. That was pretty awesome that they scouted us for it! It sounds like it would be a really fun show to be on. I know that in the recent months we have been getting approached by different reality tv shows, and, we have been declining the offers. But this show is a FOX television show, so, it may be a good idea for us to go on the show. The deal to go on the show is pretty hard to refuse and it sounds like it would be a really fun experience! We have been questioning this reality television show business, but, we have been told that we should just trust our instincts. And so far, our instincts have been telling us to just jump in and go for it!
We also recently acquired a part in a movie that is being filmed in the middle of October! We are pretty excited about this. In fact, our good friend Quese IMC has the lead role of this movie. We are pretty darn excited to be able to do this.
Anyway, that is it for now! It is time to go to sleep. Shauna and I have to wake up early for a photoshoot tomorrow morning. This week is going to be pretty darn busy. Later on this week we have a few photoshoots and two big runway shows. I know we are probably forgetting to write down something, but, we are going to have to write it in another journal entry if we have forgotten to write something! We are pretty tired.
