My dog Jake died today. Im so sad. He was my best friend growing up. I remember those tough times in grade 8 and 9 when I was the geeky nerd in school. He was my friend when no one else was. We hung out all the time. Jake is was 14 years old. I found out today that he died a tragic death by getting hit by a train. My family buried him on our familys field on my reservation. Today, I am just so sad.

On another note, congratulations to Shannon! She landed the lead in an independent sci-fi film called Xylophobia She will be playing the role of Anika and filming will begin in February 2008.

Shannon and I are very excited! We were recently asked to present the ‘Youth Award’ at the National Aboriginal Achievement Awards in Toronto this March of 2008. As young First Nations women we are truly honored to be involved in this event that celebrates excellence in the Aboriginal community!
