Another long overdue blog about what Shauna and I have been up to. Some of you must think that we have dropped off the face of the planet.
Shauna and I filmed the pilot ‘Tales of an Urban Indian’ in February. Wow, has it really been that long since we blogged? Right now we are waiting to receive word if APTN likes our show enough to pick it up. So, maybe you guys can write APTN and say “We want Tales of an Urban Indian!” I don’t know if it will help or not, but, maybe it will get them thinking! We feel so honored to work with cast such as Darrell Dennis, Carmen Moore, Tantoo Cardinal, Graham Green, and Katya Gardner!
We have been fairly busy these days. Our BT Guy calendar has been on the top of our agenda. After we produced our ‘BT Girl 2009 calendar’ we received many requests, mainly from women, asking for a ‘BT Guy Calendar’. The calendar will not stand for “Beautiful and Talented” as it did for the BT Girls Calendar. The B&T will stand for ‘Bold and Tribal’. We have already shot ‘Nathaniel Arcand’, ‘Robert Guthrie’, ‘John Kervel’, ‘Justin Rain’ and ‘Taionnaih Akubal’. We are still searching for male models for the ‘BT Guy 2010 Calendar’. We co-hosted the “Westcoast American Indian Music Awards” with Robert Guthrie a few weeks ago. We were so happy to have our Grandmother there with us, Emma Baker (http://www.atsoocho.com). One of our BT Girls ‘Inez Jasper’ took home two awards for her new album ‘Singsoulgirl’! This girl definitely stands for a BT Girl because she has unlimited beauty and talent! We are so proud of her! Shauna and I were casted in another pilot! We are super excited about this because we will be starring in it! One of us will be playing the “up-tight” twin and the other the “wild twin”. We’ll keep you posted with more information when we hear more!
Shauna and I have been working on our own solo projects within the last five months. We have been diversifying our artistic skills by not playing as many twin roles. It has been an amazing adventure. Although, we enjoy working together when we play “twin” roles we just wanted to be able to learn more as individuals.
Shauna and I finished filming ‘Dreamcatcher’ a month ago. Shauna plays the lead and I play her estranged twin sister. We will keep you guys updated on the progress of the film. Right now the film is in post-production.
Speaking of acting, Shauna and I are now represented by different agencies. She left our shared agency ‘Muse Artist Management‘ and is now with ‘Entourage Talent’.
I am also one of the leads in a film called “Estelle”. I play the “bad guy” who does anything to win, even if it means cheating! The film is about a clumsy tennis player named ‘Estelle’ that wins every match by fluke despite her “graceless”. By the way, we are still looking for background performers for the film. We will be i the cover of ‘Stunner Baby Magazine’ based out of New York! We’ll let you know how that goes!
We have been thinking about doing a video blog instead of writing our blogs out. It seems like it will be a lot more fun! I think we will be keeping up with our blogs if we do it this way. Let us know what you think. Do you think we should have a video blog?
